Playing with lights - testing them on the current prototype

Started testing out the lights when we got them on Thursday.

The LED lights are programmable so we started playing with them to see how they work. We found that the different speeds of the colours changing gave different effects, playing with the various possible combinations of the switches at the back of the lights. We also found a combination which lets the lights respond to sound, which may be pretty helpful.

The video below shows us experimenting with two of these lights - we plan to have two for each stand (three if the whole group is getting 30 of these.

The results are starting to look a lot like the renders! Considering placing the lights at the top of the stand... And also looking at lining the umbrellas again, as they add another dimension.

One thing about the current prototype is that the umbrellas are too far apart. The lights easily shine right past them into the air - we'll definitely need to make them denser.
