Some people in the other groups took this victim out into the wind today... it was only for about 20 seconds, and see the depressing result - i guess that's what comes out of 3 and 5 dollar umbrellas...
It looks like we're the only group that has this wind problem, since the other groups are stabilising their umbrellas by grouping them, or securing them with wooden frames... ours however just hang off a wooden pole.
We finally came up with a conceptual idea of purposely inverting the umbrellas and seeing what effect is given:
IT'S SO PRETTY!!
But with that are problems of rain collection, more customised supports etc etc.
We'll just keep this in the back of our mind for now...
