We decided we won't use projectors - we have been looking at a low-tech option for quite some time now but haven't really considered too much. Now we were told putting projectors so that it just looks over the top of the folly isn't so practical as the health and safety guy may not always be accessible, and the projectors will have to stay there for the entire time (instead of being taken down after our event finishes). Other teams aren't really going to use them anyway.
The rest of the group has decided on these LED lights that can be programmed to change colours, blink/flicker etc. and are about 6omm wide in diameter. The light they produce is also effective up to about 1m.
With that information in mind we set out to re-design our umbrella stands to accommodate the lights, our idea doesn't need to be too complicated anyway, as long as we capture the mood...
